I played the demo and thought it was piss easy. They have dumbed it down from the last one, so I dunno if I will be getting it.

Depends on what you mean by dumbed down i guess.

They have certainly improved on some of the glaring issues on the first BC game.

The re-spawn options are improved as is the lobby system - plus you can now host your own private game if you can get enough friends in.

It's got a nice balance to it - it's not a full blown arcade style game like MW2 or a slow paced Sim like Op Flashpoint.

As with the previous one the sound effects are ace and at times i can really feel like you are in a war movie like Black Hawk Down or maybe even one of the later Rambo's(in a good way ;))

Yeah but is it anything near as good as BF2:MC? that's all I would care about

It's hard for me to say as i missed all the RP MC ganza fun :( graphically it's defo a huge step up and it feels like you are in the middle of a battlefield, more so than the first BC game.

I don't think it has as much/any of the swaying in the first BC game when you are running which i remember pissed you off.

Your always going to be fighting against MC differences as i know how much that one was revered around here.

Is it better than the first BC game i'd say defo - they've sorted out some of the things that should never have been fubared in the first BC game but i've not played it enough to highlight any of the flaws that like any game will no doubt be thrown up in the next few days/weeks.

No.

BF2:MC > BF:BC2 & BF1943 > BF:BC1

Not sure its been dumbed now, many things feel expanded or improved. There is more gameplay options and nearly all my issues except prone being missing have been fixed from BC1. Helis have been seriously nerfed. I shot down 3 with the regular Engineer RPG in one game yesterday. Mortar strike has been nerfed. Virtually never gets kills now until you upgrade it. Arty replaced with UAV which is very vulnerable to small arms. Weapons handling is excellent, feels a bit like FC2 with heavy realistic handling and bullet travel time and bullet drop. Spotting is great, makes it more realistic that only spotted enemies appear on the radar and you get assist points for spotting. Removing ammo crates and giving ammo drop to Assault class gives assault more to think about than just kills and the giving the same points for a revive as a kill makes the medic a fun choice to play.

The biggest issue I have is the narrow linear maps. I want wide open maps like Backstab and Wake Island. You feel corralled. Whilst it focuses the action, I feel you lose freedom. Apart from that and a small bug with stat tracking (my M1 Garand kills unlocked me a silver star for the M1A1 SMG even though I have no kills with that gun???!?!), this game is excellent.

Nutting through the SP at the moment. Wasn't really too enthusiastic about it but it turns out it's really good! Storyline is good, it's the usual plot and the usual missions but it's hard to move away from it with 1st person shooters isn't it?

Got about 3 missions left to go. Will have to go through again to mop up achievements though. Collecting weapons throughout is a nice touch i think. Really enjoying it!

When you knife kill someone you get their dogtag to keep :)

My stats are wrong tho i played it for around 2 hours last night.

I can honestly say i've never been as enthusiastic about a MP game for ages.

Had a wee shot of being a sniper got a good spot took out a couple with headshots from distance allowing for bullet drop and then moved away before i was spotted. If you like sniping it's immence - the slight delay between the shot and the kill + bullet drop :prayer: :prayer: :prayer:

I use the sniper class just to get the C4 but equip the M1 rifle so I can run around shooting. Seems to work well. Pick up loads of points with the sensor ball and you can use the C4 to either get objective damage or blow up tanks.

Anyone else tried the SP yet? Anyone played MW2 SP yet? Well, take MW2 SP, subtract 5 minutes et voila! BF:BC2 SP length! :D

Fekking boosters :minigun:

Squad playing in a game of rush were just standing at the main base not attacking firing bullets into the ground and in ther air then chucking out supply boxes just for the points.

What a waste of ******* time

twunts!!!
